If you’re looking for a panoramic view of Gdańsk, set aside some time to climb Gdańsk Town Hall Tower.
The Main Town Hall (Ratusz Głównego Miasta) in Gdańsk is located at the juncture of Long Lane (Długi Targ) and Long Street (Ulica Długa). It houses the History Museum of the City of Gdańsk.
If you’re not into museums (this one is rather large), you can still buy tickets to admire the view from the observation deck at top of the building.
On top of the Town Hall spire, a gilded statue of King Zygmunt II August dominates the skyline of Ulica Długa.
As you can see from the video below, it’s well worth paying the entrance fee to the Main Town Hall Tower for a fabulous view of the city.

Dates may vary slightly from year to year but the Gdańsk Town Hall Tower observation deck is typically open during the tourist season from May 1 to September 30.
As of August 1, 2023, it costs 16 zl for adults and 10 zl for concessions to access the observation deck of the Gdańsk Town Hall Tower.
