At the end of April 2020, my wife and I emerged from our flat in our protective anti-coronavirus masks and gloves to walk the three kilometres or so to Jaśkowa Valley Park (Park Jaśkowej Doliny).
Jaśkowa Valley Park, which is the western part of the thriving district of Wrzeszcz, is a real gem in the centre of Gdańsk. It is, in fact, a forest with mazy trails, the freshest of air and a wonderful viewpoint where onlookers can gaze out to the Baltic Sea.

Before leaving home, I had seen on google maps that there is a set of steps leading up to the forest at number 73, Jaśkowa Dolina Street. So, we headed there. Just before we reached the steps, a deer was skirting the perimeter of the forest. This animal drew quite a crowd:

My intuition subsequently led us to Punkt widokowy Spojrzenie na Gdańsk, ul.Podleśna, a spot which offers more than decent views of north Gdańsk and the Baltic Sea:
All in all, a jolly good walk to breathe some life into our lungs.
